The Renewable Energy Advice Service offers free expert and independent advice to residents, businesses, schools and local authorities within the Black Country. For examples of our recent work, please take a look at our FREE quarterly newsletters

The Service is supported by the EST and a consortium of Local Authorities. It currently operates within the Sandwell, Wolverhampton, Dudley, Walsall, South Staffordshire and Cannock areas. However, if you are from outside these areas we will certainly be able to steer you in the right direction!

Renewable Energy Supply means electricity from a supplier who can guarantee that the energy they produce is from a renewable source such as wind, biomass or hydro.

Renewable Energy Technologies can be utilised to generate all or part of your electricity or heating requirements in your own home, business or public or voluntary sector organisation. The technologies include solar electricity equipment (known as photovoltaics or PVs), solar heating, wind energy, biomass energy, heat pumps, solar design in buildings and other emerging technologies.

For examples of existing renewable energy projects in the West Midland, please refer to our case studies.

For example, we can tell you about substantial new grants that could reduce the cost of photovoltaic installations (solar electricity generation) by between 40 and 65%.
